Hyundai Motor Group announced their “Hydrogen Vision 2040” that describes their goal to popularize hydrogen fuel for “Everyone, Everything, and Everywhere” at their global forum event, “Hydrogen Wave,” in early September.

Their ambitious goals include plans to achieve a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) with a price point comparable to that of a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) by 2030. By getting the price point down with innovative technology, Hyundai plans to be the first automaker to apply fuel cell systems to all of their commercial vehicle models by 2028.

According to Hydrogen Wave’s Chairman, Euisun Chung, “Hyundai Motor Group’s vision is to apply hydrogen energy in all areas of life and industry such as our homes, workplaces, and factories. The goal is to make hydrogen readily used for everyone, everything, and everywhere. We want to offer practical solutions for the sustainable development of humanity, and with these breakthroughs, we aim to help foster a worldwide Hydrogen Society by 2040.”
